Hey guys, I`ve heard and seen loads of nitro to electric conversions, but what about electric to nitro? I know it seems stupid but I`m looking for a summer project, I have a mini e-revo roller i picked up from some guy for 70 bucks and I WAS going to use it for extra parts for my current mini revo but i`ve had an xray nt18 micro nitro car sitting on my shelf for quite some time and no one will buy it so i was looking at the engine today and it looks like it would fit perfect it`s a 0.8cc standard glow engine, i also could strip all the servos off it and mount them somewhere, my only problem.... NO BRAKES! does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get this thing heat ready and configure some sort of braking system? I`ve take a lighter to the plastic chassi and it wont burn, just has carbon residue, but obviously it wouldn`t be a direct flame to the car, just heat, it may warp over time but it MAY be possible to get a metal chassi cnc`d for me, but it is a bit pricey! so i`d like to keep the plastic if possible to keep the weight down, I think it would be cool! A 1/16th scale Revo 3.3? sounds bad a why hasn`t traxxas thought of this?!! I also understand the diffs may not stand up to the nitro motor BUT! to my understanding a brushless motor has more overall torque and RPMs than a 2 stroke nitro??? any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated! If i get this thing built for summer I`ll be sure to post some video links and build blueprints for you guys to see and follow if you interested in building one in the future! Cheers! - Bryce
