Check the new release from Traxxas, say what you may about their product, this company is always looking at things in a new way. I'm impressed.

Very cool but also very dangerous it probly weighs 5 to 6 pounds and at that speed breaking bones will be easy and a hit to the head would kill you.
You just know that some clown is going to try to see how far he can jump it lol.

I want one. Any body got a jump?

"Personally" I think there is more Con's than Pro's with this Model....

-Where are you going to run 100mph "safely"?
-Who ever buy's one that "doesn't" have an iPod will have to go out and drop $200 just to get the 100mph setting
-It's a TC so it's good on Pavement and Pavement ONLY
-$1,000, for a TC? jajajajajajajajajajajajajaja.......ya right, lol

-It does 100mph
-Traxxas has good Customer Support
-It comes with Li-Po's (not the best Li-Po's, but better than NiMh)

With all this in mind I can't say (at least for me) that this is worth the Price Tag....sure I can afford it.....but at the end of the day you gotta ask yourself.

Do I really want to pay that much for something I "can't" ride on or even Race?

IMO, nope.

So in closing, I think this Car is really really cool, just not $1,000 Cool.

Maybe next time Traxxas, maybe next time

$1000 is cheap for what the car comes with. My SC10 setup is pushing $1100 before I add batteries and tires.

And the $200 iPod can easily be replaced with a $40 receiver for use with the radio you already have to hit 100 mph.

Traxxas is aiming this at their core customer base. The people who come into a hobby store and the first question about every vehicle is "How fast does it go?"

At the same time, it does complement nicely with the growing 1/8 onroad class.

To each there own I guess, for $1,000+ I want to pick and choose what's in my Kit......not just take what the Factory gave me.

To put this next thought in not so many words, Speed like this should be earned not just bought off the shelf.

I'm not trying to sound like some Ancient Monk or anything, I'm just saying that if you have the know how and ability to build a Car that does speeds like this then chances are you're going to know how to drive that's how it should be (in my mind anyways).......there will be people getting hurt with these Cars I know it.

Too many Clown Shoe mo-fo's out there who don't think, combined that with a 1/7 Scale missile and you have one crappy evening in the Hospital

And yes if there is growing large scale TC racing then this "might" be interesting for them.....but keep in mind the guy's at Traxxas stated "Racers won't like it".
So best guess you'll be waiting for Aftermarket Parts from other companies before it's really "useful" on the Tracks.
