AKA is coming out with the new EVO Truggy rims & tire just in time for the Dirt nitro Challenge.
AKA's Mark Pavidis posted a picture showing a production-ready looking 'evo' style disc rim on Facebook. We caught up quickly and he let us know that AKA have been busy testing and revamping their line of truggy tyres after ROAR laid down the rules on rim diameter for 2012. Mark told us that the rim with disc is still one of the lightest on the market and disc usage depends on the type of track. The distinctive 'EVO' grooved foam will also be available for the new truggy rim. They have also worked on their tyres to improve the carcass, a ROAR legal mounting bead and in particular overall stability via innovative use of a criss cross "Waffle"style interior support ribbing. Anticipated release is mid February, just in time for the Dirt Nitro Challenge in Phoenix, AZ. Mark sent posted the images having completed the final track tests at SoCal favourite test track Thunder Alley ahead of official release. See www.RaceAKA.com http://www.neobuggy.net/modules/news/
