Yes, I know. It's technically day four, but after the long hours we all put in yesterday...I crashed hard.
So, an update from yesterday.
What an awesome day. It was practice, but it was smooth.
All of the racers were right where they needed to be at the exact right moments to keep the day flowing smoothly, which is very difficult to do when you have almost 250 entries.
The day went well and the track is amazing. We scheduled all of the racing in such a way that the the nitro fumes would not build up too much, and we could get them vented out quickly.
Now, let me talk about the racers.
Hats off to all of these guys. I have run a lot of events and this by far is the most professional group I have ever worked with. Thank you all for participating. Really...thank you.
I'm really happy that I was able to run this event this year. My crew is spot on. Thanks big time to them as well.
A note for future races, rent an RV from a different guy. This guy randomly wanders between his rentals while everyone else is out racing and hangs out. Plus, he will take your keys which will prevent you from being able to use your generator, have power, heat, and water. Grrrr. Thanks Vic and Tony Sousa for getting myself, my wife, and my crew up and running again.
Alright, that's it for this one. Another note later.
