Re: JR Ergo 60

I haven't but am also contemplating converting a Raptor 90 . The biggest draw backs I can see is battery mounting . The motor mount should be able to find another brand that can be modified to fit. Esc pretty standard . Now the motor drive could be a bit of a challenge but not impossible. . The Heli I want to convert is definitely not ready for the scrap pile . I have been looking at HK for motor and the carry Scorpon way out of what I want to spend to see if it will work. Or they also have a turnigy and it specifically says for my heli conversion. ESC's are a little pricey too.

Thanks for your reply Hifly 2104.I've been searching the Net on this
very subject...one guy did it with an Ergo 30. The motor mount on
his seemed to be home made (aluminum stock). The 60 has a heavier
airframe than most of today's helicopters it seems. To power it would
probably be more costly...maybe not worth doing. However, let me
know how you fare out with your conversion project.I'll keep on
searching the WEB for ideas (trim some fat off that airframe).
