Quadcopter FPV in the UK!

I travel to the UK quite a bit for work.

Normally when I travel, I pack a 450 heli and all the fixings.

Well, I have to make a trip in November and today I decided I want to bring my Quad with me to do some FPV'ing at lunchtime and for the weekend that I will be there.

I have my routine down pat for bringing my 450. After 3 years of back and forth, I know exactly what to pack where and have never had a problem once I figured it all out.

In my flights the UK, I am allowed 1 checked bag and 2 carry ons.
Carry on 1 is my work laptop. Carry on 2 has always been my align 450 case that contained my 450, TX, Chargers and Lipos. Security is cool with the hardware if you take the time to take the TX out and place it in the plastic trays they give you for scanning.

But bringing an FPV quad will be new. Packing it will be my first challenge. I will have a couple of weeks to plan out how I will be packing the quad, base station and other FPV supplies in such a manner that I can bring the quad and TX carry on as I have done with the 450 and maybe pack the rest in my checked luggage (?)

Challenge accepted!

Looks like one of my first tasks will be to make a smaller, more compact base station.

I will update this thread as I progress.

Of course, suggestions and ideas are always welcome
