Lee, getting any multirotor flying stable requires plenty of effort (unless it is in the exact same configuration, all-up-weight, with same power system and you can juse the same PIDs). Just because you saw a KK2 model flying requiring lots of input is no indication of the board's capabilities. That is true pretty much for all flight controllers. There certainly are lower performance boards and firmwares, but the KK2 is a solid performer (as are many of the modern FCs - but not without effort and time).

The KK2 is easier to use and configure because of the onboard LCD screen and simplified user interface. Many other flight controllers require that you use a computer to modify a setting. Considering the many hundreds of adjustment cycles typical to "trim" out a multicopter, the KK2's interface is a major convenience that really shortens the process.

With my Naze32 and CC3Ds, I have a laptop and bluetooth or APC220 or 3DR radio interfaces which speed up the land, modify setting, fly to test cycles (no model retrieval and USB cable to deal with). With the bluetooth connection, can use an android-based cellphone and application to modify the settings for one model (the Naze32/MultiWii/baseflight FPV spider quad).

Related note to readers on this thread: make changes to weight or the power system and you will need to change the PIDs. With a multi-sensor board (each with it's own PIDs which build upon each lower level sensor's configuration), you don't want to change the AUW or power system very often.

Re: Cc3d fc

I see James is now banned from OP.

Will be interesting to see how things go with the main dev gone and them sitting on a pile of cash from all the preorders.
