Re: What is on your workbench for the winter?

Hi all, I have an ESM Bucker Bestmann 181 on the go. Almost finished and I'm looking forward to the upcoming flying season!
For anyone looking to get this model, be prepared to do quite a few mods as it is definately a builders ARF. l have info on what I needed to do, maybe this will ease someones assembly experience. The finish and looks of this ARF is A+
I opted to go with a PTE 36RE which fits perfect up front!
Here are a few photos of her, can't wait to maiden!

Boris

Gas Re: What is on your workbench for the winter?

A few more photos

The fuse, cowl, vertical fin are all fibreglass with scale panel lines and nice looking instrument panel. Wings are ply\balsa sheeted and covered with flat finish.

This is my first ESM purchase and I'm definately going to have another one in the future!!

Cheers!

Re: What is on your workbench for the winter?

My Sig Cloud Ranger build is complete ! Just need to set up the throws and test fly when the weather gets straightened out. Starting on another Sig kit the Cessna 180 and then maybe I can get to the Extra 300s .

Hey Kevin, I would say leave the Cessna for later and get that Extra 300 on the table. I'm a little behind on posting but will be showing my 100cc Edge. Llok forward to seeing everyone have a good spring ..

You know James I was kind of thinking the same thing when I got looking at the Cessna it is fairly close in design to the Cloud Ranger. I don`t want to get bored doing the same plane again . I still want to build it but not right away
Can`t wait to see some pics of your Edge I love that design

Re: What is on your workbench for the winter?

Great pics guys/gals - I have to dust off my ole camera and catch up! For you (B-r-r-r!) winter shopping be careful with who will ship your fav RC products. If you have things shipped from China (and who doesn't these days-much better prices!) try to get it shipped via the carrier EMS. Not sure about US but here in Canada there is very little cost and it is delivered to my door by Canada Post. For example, a receiver shipped from China cost me $4.99. Last week I had an order shipped from SIG in US and UPS total cost was $87.00 for an order of $123.00 They charged SIG $40.00 to pickup-and added another $47.00 before I could have it delivered; and BTW-the customs duty was only $9.47 (and is not included in that $87.00) YES-that is THEFT and we are all too familiar with that !
With theft like that going on-is it any wonder why the US economy is going down the drain. So I now order all from China and have it shipped by EMS. If I order in North America I ask for EMS shipping.
