I use the swash leveling tool once and I just have it away not long ago. Make sure the ball ends are on the right way then I give it the nargly eyeball from the side and down the boom. I raise the swash and lower the swash ensuring all is level and equal in all directions. IMO a swash tool is over rated. It's personal preference and how you were taught to set up your Heli. They are handy though to ensure your adjustments are true.

Re: Swash leveler

please note too:

You are not leveling the swash plate, you are setting it perpendicular to the main shaft, they just tend to call it level, and it would be level IF you are sure your main shaft in perfectly vertical.

Mechanincal setup is very important to do so than your radio can be properly set up for fine tuning, same for airplanes.

Mechanical setup effects the flybar/swash mixing, something you could never tune out with a radio.

I would guess the most important point is to get the plane of the swash parallel to the plane of the flybar.
