Falcon Carbon Props.. The gutts and the glory!

The Falcon carbon props have become prop of choice for a number of us here.

Lots of debate on other sites about their construction.

I had the "opportunity" () to break a Falcon 24x8 today and decided to cut it up.

The hub is a round solid disk of Carbon with a light wood core in the blades +a skin of unidirectional carbon and then a final layer or CF weave!!

Just thought I'd post a few pics for those interested, LOL!!!

That's what happens when your alone and walking in the house in Jen's High Heels.

Did you lose your balance and cause you to fall on the floor with the prop?

On a serious note; how about posting pictures of the power tools that you use in your shop. I'm especially interested in what type of Drill Press you use. Mine has given up the ghost and it's time to get a new one.

ROTFL!!! Too funny Brian!!

Nope - Jen's high heels haven't let me down yet Unfortunately I had a little dork with my 50cc Pilot Edge today, but only the prop tip had damage - no other damage to the plane
.
.
Mr Egan went to town on the prop with a set of vise grips at the feild and my bandsaw finished the rest, LOL!!

Good luck with the Drill Press search! Nothing special with my power tools... whatever's on special, LOL!!
