Got these a few days ago from a friend. Made by DuBro about 40yrs ago before Quadra's came out. Swing a 22x10 at 4000rpm with a good 60 two stroke glow.
One new mounted with an Enya 60 and the other is NIB with extra belts and manual.
I'm going to run up the one with the Enya and see how she performs. I'll let you know how it goes.
This drive unit is extremely well made.....and cooool!

Re: Vintage drive unit

that't cool similar to the byron drive unit I had many moons ago. If I remember correctly mine would turn around 5600-6000 on a 20x8 with a pico 60. those drives relied on a very high rpm 2cycle to work correctly. Roger

Re: Vintage drive unit

Yes Bill. Several companies offered those. In fact if I recall correctly I remember seeing one that mounted 2 engines with the reduction drive to make a twin. Don't recall which company it was though.

Often wondered how one of these would work with a 4 stroke on it! Due to the reduced RPM one would need a prop with 14 or 16 inch pitch I'm guessing!
Hang time does not apply to ceiling fans, light fixtures, overhead door tracks or basketball nets!
