What is your current 2.4 not doing for you that a new one will do? Or are you just upgrading for the heck of it? Unless you need extra chan for upgrades or such. I was going to order a new one when i got my summit and then asked myself the same question. The stock remote did everything i need.

Re: Best Cheap Transmitter

I think a GT3b/c is the best bang-for-your-buck surface setup on the market. If you're willing to spend more get an Airtronics/Sanwa MT-4 or Futaba equivalent. I've heard more range or glitching complaints from Spektrum owners than all other brands combined: you may get something you love but all the bad reviews made me gun-shy (so I got a Sanwa from rcmart).

Have fun!

Re: Best Cheap Transmitter

You would likely get more relevant answers if you let us know what your current issue is with the RTR 2.4GHz. If you are just bashing then it may not be worth upgrading, if you are looking for more adjustments and customization then perhaps you could check out some of the offerings from Futaba.

Here is a decent example of an entry level Futaba.

Hope this helps.

Re: Best Cheap Transmitter

Get the DX6I.. You get what you pay for.. So buy a bunch of cheap ones, or get a quality one that will last and perform well at the same time

Re: Best Cheap Transmitter

I would get like a good quality remote that will last a few drops instead of one that will break after 1 drop and you keep having to replace it.
