Fantastic Gas Ignition Tester

Some time ago I purchased a RCEXL Igniton Testor from RC Extreme Power. Up to now I had never had to use it.

But recently I just could not get my Electrodynamics Optical Ignition tester to function. I have several of them so I am familiar on how they work.

I used this cheap little device to trace out the connections in my circuit. It's extremely easy to use, you just plug it into the lead that goes to the Hall Sensor. I took out the spark plugs, but made sure the plug was in the cap and easy to see if a spark was occuring.

I started off with the battery directly to the ignition. With the Testor plugged in I got a strong spark to each plug. I then added the switch and found out nothing worked. I replaced the Master Ignition On Off switch (not the Electrodynamic Optical Kill switch) and now the complete system works.

It sure is a great tool to do trouble shooting with and I plan to always have it with me at the field. If you think you have fried your Ignition Controller it will quickly tell you if that is the culprit or if it is something else. And it's only $14.95.
