I don't know if it is any interest to some of you fliers. I have found this set of old PBY plans on Ebay. I have this plane for quite a number of years and it had become damaged and need repair. I could not find my original set of plans I had and started looking on internet. I had a hard time finding a set in the size of the aircraft I had until I came upon this. This is the same plane I have. It does fly well, the damage was not from flying. I had two OS 10's on it and they did work but never managed to get it off the water with 10's needed hand launch, 15's should be better. I was also using it with 5 channel, ailerons added and retracts which added more weight. Just thought it may be of interest to some. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/RADIO-CONTROL...-/251180453353

Re: Pby 2

Absolutely on eof my favourite planes! I always wanted to build the Walter Musciano control line version in Mechanix Illustrated but never got ahold of th efull size plans. Started to draw the plans by using the little squares as a guide but gave up!

Now I have 2 GP eflite models that fly wonderfully, a Kyosho version with 2 15s and just took delivery of the plans for a 108 inch version that I bought the short kit from Dave on your side of the country.

My full scale AME used to work on them (and Mosquitos and Lancasters) and I asked him what teh PBY was like and he said - Dunno, I was always in the bilge bucking rivets. Guess they leaked from all of the rough use they got.
