PLANE HAS BEEN SOLD
I have for sale my highly modded and in pristine condition FMS P-51 Mustang. This is the V5 of the model. This was originally purchased as a kit and built from the ground up. I have decided to sell it because it is slightly too big for where I fly and am focusing more on 3D planes and Jets, and thus need to make room for the other planes.
- Turnigy SK42-50 650kv motor
- HK SS 70-80Amp ESC
- Turnigy 3A-5A BEC
- HXT900 servos for Ailerons, Flaps, Rudder, Tail Wheel
- HXT MG16 for Elevator
- APC 14x7e Prop
- 2'' Nose Cone
- 5/16 Carbon Fiber rod (replacing stock fiberglass rod)
- .070 x .437 Carbon Fiber flat strip from center to wing tip (replacing original 1/2 size fiberglass strips)
- Carbon Fiber strip in Horizontal Stabalizer (Elevator)
- Wooden rail mod for larger retracts
- HK-514 retracts (twice as strong as originals and lock perfectly in both in and out positions)
- 70mm Foam tires to soften landings
- Air duct in rear for much improved airflow
- Pinned Hinges on all surfaces
- Installed hinged flaps
- Battery hatch with magnets
- Original rubber tires
- 1 spare HK-514 Retract
Receiver, Batteries and Radio are not included.
NOTE: Wings were glued in place for added strength. So they CANNOT be removed for transport.
The plane was built to be very strong and rigid and provide incredible performance. Majority of gluing, including spars, was done with Gorilla Glue, so it is very strong and very light for it's size. It is currently setup to run on 6S. I am using a 5S 2200mAh + 1S 2200mAh in series arrangement. With this setup the motor produces 1800watts and plane is capable of 100mph speeds. I used a smaller nose cone for reduced rotational weight on motor and also to improve cooling to the motor and ESC. Also used 2 blade prop instead of 3 or 4, for added performance.
Plane is in great condition with almost no scuffs or dents. Never crashed or ever had any incidents. Flies incredibly well and slows down with flaps very well as well. All electronics and parts work perfectly without any sort of jidders or glitches.
I will not ship as the wings are not removable, and plane would cost a lot to ship anyways due to size. Will meet anywhere in Toronto area. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to PM me.

Re: FMS P-51 Mustang 1450mm (57'')
I have personally seen this plane flying and is just awesome, i can call it a p-51 on steroids, is way overpowered with this set up that you can pretty much hover and torque roll it, too bad you want to sell it Peter but good luck with the sale, buyer will get an amazing and pristine plane.
Is not about how good you fly......is about how much you enjoy flying.
