I also noticed when I picked up a new prop that they have another number printed on the back side, one is "11" the other is more hand written as a "6" or a "9" as seen in the comparison photo. What information is this?

Sure that crack was not there before?

I don' like the softer beech props I only run the multi-layer plywood type props just like full scale wood props. My favourite are from Air Wild but the XOAR plywood props aren't bad but a little noisier then the Air Wild.

Not sure what the number on the back is for... Maybe they were keeping track of a production run or something.

That prop was cut from a knotty board. Send it back for a replacement. It should have never passed inspection.
