JR 821's Cant go wrong 'digital' so you can use the DX8 default 10ms frame rate. ~$20 - $25

I have about 20 and never had a failure. I had them in the U-Can-Do.

Re: Sig Kavalier servos

Hi Kevin:
As Frenzy and Cloudniner have said, these would be good servos for the application. I think you would need a servo that has at least 45 to 55 oz in of torque for the control surfaces. A "standard" size servo (physical size), not micro or mini, suit this plane the best. Other than the Hitec servos, I have not heard of the other brands on the website you attached in your post. If you have JR/JR compatible equipment, then that brand would be good if using "default" features with the Tx, unless other digital servos can also respond to this programming feature. -------- not knowledgable about JR programming. I have had a few JR821's and a couple smaller torque digital servos, but traded them only to maintain using all the same brand Hitec servo arm hardware etc..... The JR821's are good servos for the price.

Most of my servos are Hitec with about 10% others being Futaba. I try to keep the bulk of them to one brand as far as Servo Arms etc....... so they will always fit what I use.
Whether it be analog or digital is probably not a real concern, but for future use in other planes (possibly faster ones) you may want to go digital for more accurate positioning & throws. Check out the servos that have at least 1 ball bearing shaft support for longevity as well. Nylon bushings tend to wear after much use and the output shaft will be a bit "sloppy".

EG: Hitec 425BB has 2 ball bearing shaft supports with about 46 oz in of torque @4.8v and 57 oz in @ 6.0v. -------- With todays radios on 2.4GHZ, some receivers are more reliable using 6.0v to prevent "brown outs" if the Rx battery gets low for some reason.

Digital servos will also consume a bit more enery from your Rx battery, so it's wise to have at least a 1200 to 1500mah Rx battery pack. Anymore, I use a minimum of 1500 and 2000mah depending on the number of digital servos in use.

Hope some of this info helps to determine what you need.
