I wouldn't get your hopes up on a real Super Arrow. Someone just took bits and pieces of the original Arrow with a bunch of modern fighter jets. Have a closer look.

It would make a sweet model though

Re: Every Canadian should see this....Super Arrow!

Guys... Let me throw out a THEORY for discussion...

A few months ago RETIRED General Lewis MacKenzie went to the press with the idea of revisiting the Arrow platform because in the last 60 years our NEEDS to maintain our borders have NOT CHANGED.

The original Design Specs of the Arrow are still valid, Long Range interceptor that is fast and has two engines etc.

The General noted that with todays technology bombs are dropped from 30,000' with pinpoint accuracy so with a 'Modern Arrow' we would STILL be able to assist around the world (he mentioned our actions in Lybia).

A Canadian Aircraft Manufacturer was quick to jump up and say that he could build 100 Arrows for what we were going to spend on the F35... and so the chatter began...

I THINK that these 'Artist's Renditions' could be the result of that ... discussion... that went nowhere...

Just a thought... but it is a really neat looking plane.

Life is either a daring adventure...
...or nothing.

Re: Every Canadian should see this....Super Arrow!

If you look very closely at Super Arrow and YF-23 Rapier/Black widow you will see a cross between original Arrow and YF-23!.....Artist did consulted aeronautical engineer while doing this concept as he changed the design around as was told by his engineer. Personally with this present government forget it will happen, maybe not even to drawing board stage but if Liberals come back into power or NDP then we might see some thing happening. Look what this government did to CASM through PDP!!.....
