Flew great, Once again Congrats on successful maiden flight, yup ur right it sure would fly like a jet with more powerful set up....but good for initial speeds to get the hang of it.
Andre nicely done video!.....

Looking good. Hopefully we'll see it flying at Fan Fair & I can get a few nice crisp photos.

Re: Avro Arrow foamie EDF Conversion

Well, at least it's not pink anymore. After 5 coats of water based Diamond Coat varathane with a light sanding between each coat, this morning I sprayed the white latex base coat on the whole structure. I use the sampler bottles of latex from Home Depot, they are a nice size, they'll tint it to whatever coat you want and all for only $4.99 plus tax. It's a great deal. I then thin it down with a 50/50 mix of water and common dollar store rubbing alcohol so it can be sprayed at at about 30 lbs pressure. Best thing is, no really bad smell, only need a dust mask for protection and very little over spray issues. Clean up is with water, you gotta like that.

Anyway, this evening I'll be doing the colour portion of the paint job and tomorrow, the decals and clear coat.

Re: Avro Arrow foamie EDF Conversion

It'll be a little more than the pusher version as I have to mold thrust tubes and there are a few more other molded parts as well. But I will also offer it with the fans and motor as a combo if you don't have the fans. They are by RC/Lander, very nicely made, they are the same as HK's Dr Mad Thrust 50 mm EDF's.

Re: Avro Arrow foamie EDF Conversion

Have you considered using just one larger fan instead of two small fans? It might simplify things and reduce costs.

Re: Avro Arrow foamie EDF Conversion

Hi John,

The Arrow looks great! Any idea when you might start selling the edf version?

Thanks,
Steve
