3DHS 42" AJ Slick

After casing my Mini Funtana hard on the deck I picked up a new 3DHS 42" AJ Slick from Lorne at Pro-RC.

This little AJ Slick is a pretty cool plane. 3DHS definitely builds a high quality ARF even at this small size. The plane comes with carbon gear and wing spar, as well as a carbon reinforced landing gear mounting block. This little plane is built like a 30cc plane, including hardware for both pull-pull and push-pull rudder operation, fiber glass control horns. 3DHS definitely puts the extra effort in and doesn't over look the small things, like adding quality pull-off type decals to customize your airplane.

The 42" Slick is a pretty large plane for being only 30-36oz (In the picture it is beside the .60 size Aeroworks Extra). So far the plane flies pretty nice on a 430W Turnigy motor with an old 3s 2100mah 20C battery pack. The plane flies very light and seems like the perfect plane for learning 3D.

Only misses on the ARF is that the ailerons could have been completely hinged. They completed one side but not the other, and I think this could be one of my least favorite jobs.

This is my first 3DHS plane and would definitely recommend trying this little slick for some good fun that won't break the bank.
