Sean... Where did you get the labelling?
Thanks Trev, I use a Brother P-Touch machine. Inexpensive and easy to use...just my style!

Sean the Cayley event comes up first in Alberta, so come out to our event first and if you have time you can go out to Princeton.
Lots of prizes, private airport, 4500' runway. Hangar to store your jets, barbeque what more could you ask for. Close to an International airport for transportation.

Re: Aviation Design - Scorpion

Thanks guys, I'd love to make the trip with planes but its 3000 miles........especially with 3 and 5 year olds....
I really miss flying in BC, especially off the lakes.
I will be back in the Okanagan Aug 21-30 but flying to Seattle and driving up with the family. I think the jet guys in the area will be a JOW right? I suspect my time will be spent enjoying BC wine, fruit, and sunshine!

Re: Aviation Design - Scorpion

Buttoned up the last couple items, only thing not crossed off on my to-do list now is "fly". Hope to cross that off Monday.

Until then it waits patiently in the workshop.....

Re: Aviation Design - Scorpion

Can't wait for the maiden Sean!!!

I've got Peter's back with me to do some further radio programming and relocate some switch assignments. Sandro's biggest feedback was that it took more up-elevator with full flaps than the manual suggested and with full flaps the elevators need more deflection than the max recommended

It's all done and ready for a second flight!!

Re: Aviation Design - Scorpion

Good input. I thought the stock throw was a lot, 40mm. I think I put 45 on high rate and 30 on low

Re: Aviation Design - Scorpion

Sean. That's exactly what I thought - they already seem to have a lot of travel! I guess with flaps down, the elevator really loses its effectiveness. I have up'd Peter's to 45mm, but only when flaps are in the full down position per Sandro's advice!
