I can't recall the best option for gluing (laminating) pink or blue foam for building floats. Also would 3" thick be OK for a 4"wide x 42"-44" long float with center 1/4 ply reinforcing? - for a Kadet Senior.Did I read something about polycrylic? Thanks. Ron.

Couldn't find Probond poly. I had an old bottle of RC56 & some Weld Bond. Tried both & they both worked very well. Built the floats 3 1/2" x 5" x 42" Ron.

I use gorilla glue, or polyurethane type glues on foams. It's waterproof. Just make sure you rub damp cloth or sponge on surfaces before applying glue. The glue lines cut and sand with similar consistency to the based foam. Makes shaping easy.

I have used 3M-Super 77 spray adhesive.. It's basically a spray contact cement, and works good on large areas. I do use Lepages Ultimate (same as Gorilla) on bonding anything else foam ..
The 1/4" ply might be an over kill.. The only reinforcing I do is at the strut mounting points, basically where I mount blind nuts ect.. The rest of the float is just foam, BUT with 2 layers of 1/2os glass and West Systems epoxy..
