There is a lot of differences between blades, even if they may all be foam filled 2 ply.

Where the weight or weights are placed to give relative Spanwise CG's and Chordwise CG's relative to the Center of Lift of the airfoil used. Where the bolt hole is located in the blade root relative to the CoL. How many layers of weave and their relative thickness along with the direction of the weave will have a lot of effect on the rigidity as well as the location of any spar C/F placement. From a safety standpoint, some have a safety wire that runs the legth of the blade and that wraps around the bolt hole in the root while others do not.

Of course, all of this will reflect on the cost of the blades and their relative suggested use - FAI, 3D or FBL.

Even when two different types seem to have fairly similar flight performance, one may result in far less power required from the servos to keep them under control (more flight time with the same RX battery consumption) and may even require less power from the motor to generate the same lift and maneuverability.
