Fr Sky conversion binding problem

I recently purchased 2 Fr Sky 2.4 conversions for my older, JR PCM 10 and XP-8103 Tx's. I bought the "combo pack" that comes with a receiver in each kit. The problem I am having is that I can bind successfully to model 1 but when I switch the Tx to model 2 and bind it, when I go back to model 1, I no longer have binding. Am I doing something wrong or are the Fr Sky set ups good for only 1 airplane each, in other words, do I have to use a different Tx for each airplane although the PCM-10 has a 7 model memory and the XP-8103 a 10 model memory? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Re: Fr Sky conversion binding problem

I just installed a FR Sky in my Futaba 9c . But it says to put it in PPM. Had # flights the other day, seems to be solid.

Re: Fr Sky conversion binding problem

I have turned several JR and Futaba older 72 Mhz TX's into Dual Band Transmitters with the FrSky 2.4 DIY MOD kit and not had any problems. There are Threads on RCCanada, by me, on how I did the MOD.
I think you may have a bad TX unit. Yours plug in and are not hard wired, I hope, so it should be easy to box it up and send it out for testing or fixing. I also use the FrSky TX, and Orange DSM, module with my Turnigy 9XR. Have the older TH 9X with the FlySky module, and JR XP9303 with both 72 Mhz and Spektrum DSM2 Modules, and never had binding problem like that, and I will often switch to different modules for one transmitter.
