need help with prop direction on 6 motor y frame copter

I have a Y frame, 6 motor copter with 3 up and 3 down motors. The manual says the top 3 are spinning clockwise, so I assume regular rotation props and the bottom 3 are supposed to spin counterclockwise, which I would assume uses reverse rotation props, but the manual's line drawing is not very clear and it looks like they are using regular rotation props on the underside because they are mounted upside down, but I cannot really tell.

Can anyone help me with this. I'm almost done with this build but I'm stuck on this point.

They would have to be reverse rotation props on the bottom.

If they were normal rotation and they were mounted correctly they would be pulling against the upper props and that doesn't make a lot of sense.
