My second plane was the park zone f4u corsair BNF, have been flying it for a year. Flies nicely and is a nice scale look...

Re: Second Airplane (Advice)

I have a couple of good flying advanced trainer aircraft for $100.00 each complete ready to fly with transmitter. One is an Astro Hog wing with a new fuselage and the other is a cessna wing with a new fuselage. Both are .46 t0 .60 size aircraft. That would be pick up only as shipping would be too expensive.

Thanks to all for the great advice. I ended up getting a new Hangar 9 Pulse XT 40. Looking forward to completing it and getting her up in the air!

Steve, thank-you for the follow-up.
Best of times ahead, with it. Please add to this thread in a few weeks. Share with others that might be looking at this from the same view point (experiance/newbie).
You will enjoy the Pulse XT 40, can be tame, then cranked up a little bit as your experiance, and couriosity grow.

Re: Second Airplane (Advice)

I found mine to be the quickest of most ARF's I have put together ------ even after adding some reinforcement (thin plywood) to the sides (from firewall back to the "former" where the wing plugs into). I also reinforced the landing gear block inside , thinking of some of my harder landings with other planes, but I found it lands nicely & smoothly.

As Dale says, you can start out with lower control movements to be tame & then increase them as you get used to it. I couldn't believe how well it flys so well inverted, knife edge, aerobatics, etc.... even with the dihedral built into the wing ----- as well as smooth takeoffs & landings. I balanced it right where it was recommended and had no stall characteristics on mine at almost any speed.

I have to get my "backup" Pulse out of the box soon because I "brain freezed" it into the ground doing stuff too close to the ground. Anyways, you'll enjoy flying this one. Hope to hear how you do with it soon.

Re: Second Airplane (Advice)

If you want a great second plane to transition to a tail dragger, the Great Planes Easy Sport is a wonderful plane to move to low wings on. They practically take off and land on their own with good throttle management. Make your third one a tail wheel version.
You can learn aerobatics with the Easy Sport as well. I've had OS 46 engines and one was electric.

Good Luck,
