Jig to facilitate warping wings.

I have two planes that require re-shaping the wings to provide proper incidence and washout. I built a simple jig to facilitate the work. In the attached pictures you can see the ironing board like structure assembled from 2x4 and 2x6 with a towel for protection and 1/2" foam for a shim. The wing is held in place by masking tape to the new shape. You will see wrinkles form in the surface of the wing as you bend it. Just go over them with a heat gun carefully until they disappear. Leave the wing on the jig till it cools and as you remove the tape you will see that the wing will retain most of the warp that was applied. It is somewhat trial and error.
