RC For Parry Sound Area

Anyone interested in starting up a RC airplane/helicopter club in the Parry Sound area.
Let me know, I have some experience in building kits and building from scratch as well as flying fixed wing aircraft.
Limited knowledge about helicopters but am presently learning to fly by simulator and a simple double axle here in my yard.
Anyone interested in Radio Control. gives us a shout. It is a great hobby for young and old. Electric fly would be the best. limited noise so we get no complaints.
Send me a post

Re: RC For Parry Sound Area

Hello, I live in parry Sound, not sure I'm able to commit to a club, but certainly interested in getting together with other rc members in the area. Looking at getting Flyzone Beaver, never flown an airplane yet. Only helicopters. It will be interesting I'm sure.

Hope u have a place to fly it. I would suggest u start with a trainer. Something with lots of dihedral in the wing. Suggest also getting a simulator to try on. It will save many a crash.
Yah looks like club is a no go, no interest around here.
Let me know how u make out with fixed wing.

Re: RC For Parry Sound Area

Turns out that the company I ordered my beaver from is out of stock. That's OK, more time to practice on the simulator. Lol

Re: RC For Parry Sound Area

There is a group of us that fly a bit off of Highway 124. Dmitri does a good job at trying to keep the field cut but since it's on a farmers field the issue of the cows crapping on it is a constant issue.

Jim Bisson and I both belong to the 400 club where we fly our big planes.

It appears that there is just not enough people in this area for us to have a functional club prosper.
