Ah - well! These things heal.

At least she didn't take it out on the plane!!!!
Hang time does not apply to ceiling fans, light fixtures, overhead door tracks or basketball nets!

Re: Wife problems !

My wife went through this (verbal and emotional abuse) for years with her first husband, and is still suffering for it after twenty-five years of a second marriage. Sometimes, it's like walking through a minefield. Even a raised voice or slightly sarcastic tone on my part is enough to trigger a reaction that is volcanic in nature.

She admits that at the time this was going on, she'd swear up and down it was not happening.

Sometimes it takes an outsider to raise the alarm. For her, the best thing that happened was the day that he moved out to move in with his then-girlfriend. The best thing after that was the day she finally told him that she was getting married and they were getting divorced -- you could have knocked him over with a feather -- he could have been the model in the picture dictionary for "gob-smacked".

Now you know why I don't think that this is a joking matter. Arguments, fights even, are part of a marriage and things can be worked out. Laying anything but a loving hand on your spouse crosses the line and you get what you deserve when it gets reported to the police. Abuse and trying to control another are up there as well.
