Finally my first purchases and next steps

Hello everyone,

I am new to this hobby and enjoying it very much so far. After doing a lot of research, I finally decided to start off by buying an MCPX V2 and a DX7S transmitter. Over the past week, I have been flying the little bird in the undergroud parking garage of my building. I am now able to hover in a very controlled manner and I am getting used to flying tail-in, in all directions. My next step will be to try flying some tail-in figure 8's and start to introduce more rudder into my flying.

This hobby is a blast so far and every time I have a flying session, I find that I get more comfortable and my skills improve. The learning process has been very rewarding so far.

My goal is to buy a T-Rex 500 for next summer, once I have done a good amount of learning on my MCPX(I would rather learn the hard lessons and basics on something that I can easily afford to crash and repair). In anticipation of flying the T-REX next summer, I will likely pick up Realflight 6.5, so that I can get a feel for what flying something much larger with much more power will be like. Any recommendations or suggestions are welcome.

You have the luxury of being close to a great Flying club around the corner from you since you show your location as Mississauga.
Please feel free to come by the Mississauga flying club and meet some of the members and watch some of the flying.
We're all there to help and the amount of knowledge you gain from first hand exposure is incredible.
It doesn't matter what you fly or what level you are at, we have people at all stages of the hobby and a friendly atmosphere open to newcomers.

In addition to the real thing, a simulator is a great resource, here's a pretty good free one :
