As some of you know I was a regular on this forum with many successes but more failures. I've gone to Quads thanks to input from some members here and I'm glad I went that route instead of planes. Case in point early on with quads my friend tried my Blade QX and got it about three stories high out of control, I told him to drop it we will pick up the pieces. Found the QX in a tree, so knocked it out with a stick on to the pavement. Dusted it off and it flew with no problems whatsoever something I'm not used to. Took my DJI450 quad with the Naza and not quite tuned up but I had to try it anyway. On my flight I lost control and slammed one of the arms into the local telephone pole it hit the pavement ten feet below, being used to helis I figured it was major rebuild time. Picked it up and to my surprise all the damage was a lightly nicked prop and the GPS antennae had three good scratches, any of my helicopters would have been wrecked with that crash.
Dusted it off sat it on the ground and it flew with no problems.

Now because I like scale flying I have my sights set on an FPV system and making an old school flying saucer with flashing lights and all!

Thanks guys I can now have some flying fun without all the repair time.
