Is this where I have to admit my EME 120 is still running like a raped ape?

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Is is bed time in the east yet? Still waiting for a few replies. With all this poop happening to the latest and greatest what will be the next big name. LMNOP engines.

Feeling pretty good about having that crappy DLE 111 now.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I hope Jamie does not do what DLE does and change the design every year. Getting to be lots of pissed off guys that cannot get parts for their DLE engines. If he just stays with his current engines and concentrates his efforts on QC and minor changes just when needed that are retrofittable he will become a major pain in the butt to DLE.

Factory defect, two flights, and it was a useless piece of over priced crap!

Absolute worst investment I have made in RC! Please believe me, I wish I had never listened to you and some other quality spouting types, and had just bought 2 x EME120s for the same price!!!

Even if you say EME don't last, I say who cares, I could have had one engine and lifetime of parts and support for the same price, and never missed a week of flying!
Well that sucks John...Guess your luck with what I consider quality has been the same as mine with Ct junk many many times over!!

Buy what makes you happy John....and Happy Flying!!!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

The only thing wrong with my EME120 is it was from before he upgraded the bearings so I don't know how long it will last before it grenades. I could order new bearings and strip it down and rebuild it, but I can't be bothered. I will just run it until it craps out.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

As for MKS servos, you scoffed at 25 flights of testing. From what I hear, even if they only lasted 25 flight, apparently that would last you a 3 or more years given how much you fly! Explains why your DA/3W/ZDZ engine last forever also!
There those that fly, and there those that talk alot! I know which one i am! And after really interesting discussions today, I know which one you you are too!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Okay... I'll admit.. I'm having a lot of trouble following this thread tonight!! Perhaps tired! Perhaps too many dolls and lead from the jets! But one of the first times in this hobby where I feel very, very content with the hangar now

That was my input for the night!! Home soon from work, make a delicious tea, find out how Jen's day was and head to the shop
