Cheap Chinese metal. Dale if you don't have any I can send down a set of Dubro axles with Jeff. They did OK up here but the field is glass smooth.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I've been fortunite to only have that happen once. When It happened the other pilots asked if I've done a one wheeled landing, of course I said no, they said good luck and stood back lol

I was thinking the same thing but was afraid to ask.

Hoping Dale has the skill to do a one wheel landing.

I am sure he pulled it off with no major damage. Maybe when he wakes up he will post something. Lol

Boy's that is where lots of cross wind landings helps. Add cross stick it! Once o the ground I called a bank to carry the wing up. The wind got under it at walking speed. As I lost the last of the speed hard turn into the wind with the rudder. It set down on the pant soft, not dropping, or dragging it.
Next problem, 38lb airplane in the middle of the runway, 30' past me. With only one wheel. No help around to lift the wing up. Add rain starting. Took my transmitter back to the awning. Grabbed the wagon for the firewood. Loaded up a 122" load, ha-ha.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Just upgraded the first new axle.
Jeff those 1/4 axles I mentioned in our talk last night, today's upgrade.
Off to mount it, grab the existing one next.

Usually when I guy goes out in the field with a wheel barrow it is to pick up the pieces not the whole plane.

They even have a grass rake for clean up around these parts.
