what rpm are you getting on those mtw cans? I heard they restrict about 80 - 100 rpm. Is it true?

I haven't checked RPM yet. (no tach) What I read about the MTW's on FG is not true though. Transition is linear and smooth. Just by the feel I'm thinking 6,600 to 6,800 with 29 x 9. Only burble I have is still a bit on the rich side. I keep leaning it out a little bit each flight. Just means it's breaking in that's all.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Oooh. So the all powerful engine is only powerful by guess.

Isn't a 29x9 a little small for a 120 ? More suited for a 100 or even an 85-90?

The 29 x 9 was designed for a DA-120.

The power is not a guess I actually flew it

Great to hear brad. On stock exhaust I am swinging my 29x9W at 6680 rpm at 2500 feet. (15 flights no breakin LOL)
My big aeroplus extra is my favorite plane to fly right now and will get in another 5 flights on it today
