LOL just stirring the pot. Pancaked the Edge in the pictures and broke the front of the motor box off last year at Joe Nall. Not much a good glue joint could have done

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Yep... we got to Joe Nall last year on the Friday for gate opening. We found a sweet campsite and I was so eager to be the first to fly for 2013 on the 3D line. Camper not even set-up yet, the above Edge was set up and I took off.

I handed the radio to Brad after a few minutes and he started doing some sweet rollers over the pond... my DA120 quit on him (turns out it was the PowerBox Ignition Cutoff) and he managed to just glide it clear of the pond but pancaked it on the ground (at least he kept it dry!!!).

So first take off and first crash of Joe Nall 2013, LOL

I sold it to Brad and he used the Free Pilot Wood program and voila!!! A happy camper!!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

And when I had my DA120 (V1) it would shake soo bad on idle. Had to keep it on high idle in the pits to avoid the embarasement of people asking me what pile of junk was under the cowl. I'm sure they've improved it for V2 and V3
.

.
.
But it was shiney looking when sitting on the ground or in the garage, which is more the allure with the members of Beaverlodge and FMM

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

So, I am really catching on the the inter working of the EM. When things turn for poop you blame whatever product you like the least. You almost had me with the shaken plane syndrome.

FMM. Fort McMurray. Or fort mcmoney
