Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I think it is a fair price for a used DLE111. I have zero complaints about any of the DLE 111's I have owned. That reminds me I have Walbro carb on that one.

Brodie that would be a good engine for a guy wanting to build a 100cc plane. It is old school hype that works pretty damn good. IMO Probably, the best of the Asian engines.

Ya Jeff... any of the DLE111's I've seen run around here or helped tune have been great. Really decent power and no issues with longevity. As Dale would say - flip and fly fun

Nothing wrong with old-school hype as long as it doesn't weigh a ton like a certain Brick116

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

That's the one....its been in my basement waiting for me to become a good enough pilot to attempt flying it. Its got a new DA50 on the front, and a smartfly power expander plus what I believe to be good digital servos throughout. Looking forward to getting it airborne.

Daryll them type of planes are easier than you think. If you set them up mild throws and some expo they fly better than a trainer.
