So did the aluminium bolts save the jug from serious damage?

As for the bearing any engine can have a bad one. Some engines are just more likely to see them than other engines.

No!! piston and jug were screwed. Would have never let go with steel bolts

That is why I prefer steel, not sure if I buy into the save the jug idea. Only takes a minute to change them for piece of mind. My 60,85,120, and 170 all have steel.

The caption for the one with the runway jug should read "Always make sure you add the oil to the gas"!

Or "What did DA says the redline on this engine was"!

I especially like the operator error excuses. Could this likely be the case with some chint motors??
