Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Jeesh! I guess I get to break the news. Trevor was incorrect (polite way of saying "Wrong")! Not all DA engines are paint shakers!

Was able to get up-close-and-personal with almost every breed of engines yesterday, yes even a 3W and an EME!

Conclusion: There aren't any bad engines, just bad tuners!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

You are probably correct Brent. I am a mediocre tuner at best so I guess my DA85 will have to go. was the mvvs a 116? I can't run a 28-10 on mine it rips the hell out of it. Trevor I have some new hype for you. I am trying out some pro modeller servos from audacity models. Brushless and 420" at 7.4. John has all the components built to his specs then assembles. I haven't flown them yet but they are awesome. The best I have seen yet.

P.S. That should take some heat of from the hype haters. haha. Did I tell you they are very shiny. I like shiny.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Opps, I was incorrect on that one. It was some unique breed of 120cc.

Hard to remember all the cool goodies I saw, was like a RC candy shop!!!! Especially for some ole country bumpkin!!!!!

LOL!!!! Thanks guys for deflecting some Hype-haters your way

I've got a bit of Hype here... On my way back from an RC event and stopped at Tim's for a little pick-me-up ... The new Raspbery Cobbler donut is one of the finest donuts I've had to date - might even trump the stalwart Apple Fritter

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Forgot to mention that I had the luxury of seeing a BBT plane fly, even with a DA200 under the hood it was like watching poetry in motion!

Just flying between showers here. Almost ready to head to Tim hortins. I think I will succumb to the hype and get a raspberry cobbler. You haven't given any hype that I haven't liked yet so I will blindly follow. Btw it's been a great 3w day so far. One more flight and then raspberry cobblers all around. Mmm mmm

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

ROTFLMAO!!! Succumbing to a Raspberry Cobbler is like tasting 3W for the first time, LOL! Yuuuuuumy!!!

Brent... Was that the 43% Edge that the Smith-Brothers had in Edmonton? I heard Murray found some surprise repairs in it that no one knew about. Hope he got it flying per specification again!!

Ah!! And sorry - just saw the PM!!

Ya... Brent can really fly from what I hear! Don't be fooled that it's the plane! Imagine how awesome it would fly with a powerful motor, LOL .
