I was confused (doesn't take much most days) but all 3 guys flying Intermediate displayed a common thing. In flight you could hardly hear the engine. All ran 3 blade props, and knew the range on the up/down part of the left stick!

After market exhaust...... the confusing thing for me was, how do you tune an engine you can hardly hear?

Me thinks the answer may be "Experience"!

Doug, I have to say there wasn't a bad runnin' engine in the bunch. The worst paint shaker was mine. Oddball engine, antique plane and an old fart flyin' it!

There were some super fancy radios there, with built in telemetry. The technology is probably going to be in all future control systems. Messin' with that DA last week proved (to me anyway) that how it runs on the turf isn't necessarily whats going to happen in the air!
