Where do I require an Epoxy?
The carb box is simply Weldbond, and tri-stock.

Weldbond? Wasn't that something used pre WW2?

Next time you set-up a plane, enjoy some Hysol

Hype in a good way

I used it a lot post WW2. Never had a joint fail. Glider experience (Shear webbing).
As for the Hysol, I have some here. Not used yet, but I will.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Nice Brent. So now that it's there, what does everyone think is exceptional service in terms of turnaround time?? 1 week? 2? Would one expect them to call you and explain what needs to be done or provide an update after a certain time? Or fix and put back in the mail?

Just curious about why we think these guys have such "exceptional service". Speed? Customer interaction? Documentation of the repair / update? Free parts?

An interesting case study

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Actually Dale, I'm not trying to stir it up!! Honest. I've always been a fan of DA service yet never really understood why... Always takes 3-4 weeks and cost $$ for a warrantee repair, yet I've caught myself praising their service.... Was just asking others why that is that we say their service is exceptional!!

I've found myself (and seen others) get their DA back and it'll show other parts replaced for free and I think "wow - that's incredible they'd do that". Perhaps that's why I think their service is good?? Not sure!!
