Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Careful who you trust there Darren! Brodie just got back from a fishin' trip...... full of stories!

Not that I have any answers, but the first question Dale would ask is, what ignition, secondly what servo, and what is the servo powered with (voltage)?

I had gas plane that had issues last year. It ended up that it was a bad servo (throttle). Some servos on a fully charged 2 cell LiFe pack twitch......

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

The odd thing with my plane was how the throttle servo effected the servos (2 elevator and 1 rudder) in the tail. Not a hint of a problem until the engine was running over about 1/3 of the servo travel. And even at that it was intermittent, always throwing the elevator servos (on 2 channels) to full down deflection.

LOL The last flight before I found my problem I flew most of the flight inverted! Great practice!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Firs thing I would do is to separate the reciever and move it as far as possible from the ignition module. Next is to make sure you're using a separate battery for your ignition and not use a common source for ignition power.

Can you show us photo's of your installation?

Location of servos, location of ignition / receiver, routing of wires, etc?
