LOL!! Couldn't agree more. Been my whole point for years!!. But yet many throw the cc excuse out as soon as a 123cc beats up on a 120. Or a 100cc doesn't perform like a 110!!

Haven't had any experience with MVVS but they have a service center in the US and when I talked to Cheif they said turnaround is comparable to 3W and DA and Cheif stocks most parts. Will they have the right part? Perhaps not. Is Cheif blowing smoke? Perhaps.

But I do have experience with ZDZ and totally agree - it's a real hit or miss experience if you have a problem. As strong and smooth as the ZDZ's are, it's a legitimate concern of mine. I've always been willing to over look that considering how phenomenal they perform, but still a concern.

A different story in Europe... seems to be amazing service from ZDZ and MVVS and 3W - have developed a number of great contacts over there and the difference is astounding. Different story for DA over there also.

3W and DA will still put you out of flying for 3weeks - 1 month, so you only loose 1/4 of the summer, LOL!!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

When I have ordered DA parts I have always had them in my hands in less than 2 weeks. That is through the mail, if I used UPS I could have them in 3 or 4 days.

Either is my ZDZ. Think it's been 2-3 times what you been waiting for your DA.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I lost a wing on one of my 43% Cardens after flight #5. Buried my sweet ZDZ180 about 1ft into the neighbouring farmer's feild. Bent the crank. Michel and Dany at AMR really worked hard but it took nearly 6 months to get the crank from ZDZ.

Again - fortunate to have AMR - they sent me a loner ZDZ180 to use in the meantime, which I ended up buying from them (went in my VW Edge).

Strange I have never had a problem, I just call them up and tell them what I want. I have even ordered cylinders.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Does it have something to do with you being a past dealer?

But DA does exceptional service and usually always look after the customer. To be fair part of our delay is the shipping to and from which is not DA's fault and we could speed that up if we paid for it.

I feel bad for AMR - they try so hard to look after their customers and poor Michel bangs his head against the wall with slow response from ZDZ. And other times, ZDZ responses quick and parts are here.

One company I was astonished with was Valach - insanely fast service!! I had a base gasket that sweated a bit. Michel called Valach and within 2 days he had a new gasket set. Again, just one example, but it was impressive!!

Same with the ZDZ160, 180, MVVS190 - not even in the same class as the DA200 or the 220 quads, yet watchout!

Guess it was just luck that it happened like that Kudos to these motors that got lucky!! Impressive!!

It all comes . . . . . Oh never mind.

Nice weather. Beach, or field?
