Not that silly, I think I have burned more glow fuel than gas this year. Just the way the weather has gone etc. Up until last year I was gas only but there are so many guys up here flying glow planes I was missing out on some of the action.

Actually, the opposite. Andy has a sweet Moki-150!! My radial is glow and only 77cc... hopefully he'll still fly with me

LOL!!! No upgrading here. Just too costly to convert everything over and I really don't want the set-up hassle with all the planes, especially in prime-flying season. This is the time to just flip and fly.

Had the Jeti been out when I bought the 18MZ, I'd be Jeti for sure. Takes radios to the next level and the only company to get the screen location correct !!!

Yup, little hard to look at the bottom of the tx when you are in the air.

There is a GP Extra 330S with a 150DA that's been for sale for a while. Probably due to the fact that it may be over-priced, owner isn't available to answer questions, is too big for the common Sk RC pilot...... No one has answered my questions about that engine yet.

I'm starting to suspect that the average guy posting on this thread doesn't keep anything around long enough to be able to tell me how to tell if an engine is done. The airframe is discontinued...... but was a decent flier, for it's time. Not a EM type plane....

Trevor, one minute your talkin' about an electric winter plane, now you've gone and bought a SLIMER???? A 7 cylinder slimmer at that. LMAO your newest engine is worth more than all my plane/engines put together. Your fuel bill is gonna be a whopper, can't wait to see what your putting it on.

Copied JR's 8103. Mine (2 of them) had the screen on the top.

Great news Andy!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Brent, I had the same plane/engine set-up. A real go-to set-up.

I did reply that I loved, and kind of miss my DA150.

LOL!! Andy and I decided to do a tandem project this Fall/Winter and picked up a matching set of kits in Toledo this past spring. Power is G62-75cc.

Andy found a used Moki-150 (congrats to him!!) and I've been all over the map and really didn't want to spend the $$ on a Moki180 (150's are discontinued). Found this 7-cyl slimer and decided to give it a try. Will make the build really easy (no mods) but first time I've owned a glow in 15 years, LOL. Gooey and mega-fuel

The winter plane will be a 3D machine. 60cc likely. Electric is an option but I have my GP61, header and pipe, so will likely go that route.
