LOL!! I have a GP61 sitting on the bench which was awaiting another airframe. So whatever I end up with in this plane (DA70 vs GP61) will be about as sober as you can get!!!

LOL!! Was a close call as it veered towards to slope in the runway. Really takes away the scale factor when he had to go and straighten it out and push it back up the hill.

That's what I'm thinking Brad - I have some spare brakes from one of my jets - thinking of rigging up a L and R brake system on the rear wheels. The L and R brakes would be mixed into the rudder. The sensitivity of the braking mixed to GPS telemetry (speed) so it works like a bulldozer that becomes more tame the faster you go, LOL

Some may call this hype but man that sounds like a lot of fun to set up!! Some may call it a pain in that behind to set-up but that's the kinda things I like to mess around with

So cool the stuff we can do with RC now a days!!

Come on guys! Dale at least flys! And he slowly changing!
Look he's got two GPs and a DLE!
A year ago, they were all Ch$&t!
If anybody hasn't noticed, the definition of Ch$&t has slowly evolved in the WC to mean "anything that doesn't work"!
Give Dale a little time, he's still a little stiff like Weldbond, but he is slowly getting more flexible like Hysol!

Can't wait to see how he evolves if he visits the EM in September!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I like the whole scale plane ideas. The mechanical components always get my attention. I guess we have to wait for the master mind to start playing with beaver on the build table to see what is in store for the winter build.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

This steerable, retractable float nose wheel has my attention. Guess it will likely be reverse engineered from the water rudder huh? Interesting!!!!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Andy and I'll need to grab a coffee and figure out the title of the Beaver build thread soon

The title will have to be good... hopefully it'll encourage the desire for all to post and would be a lot of fun if it could stray off-course a bit from time to time while we wait for the Weldbond to dry, LOL
