Bahahaha 4-stokes is better then only having 2-strokes in your beavers

Ok ok lol. Do you chose the motor for the weight of an airframe or personal preference to brand. Or just because you had the motor laying around. For example I had an eme 60 from a previous weck so I put it in a slick. It pulls it around alright the gp 61 would pull it like a stump. But the eme does the job just fine so I don't see the need to put in a more powerful motor like some people that are nuts over more power and bragging rights.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I got about 45 minutes flight time on my new DA120. It is running well but does have more vibration than my other one. I need to lean out the low more so I will see how much that helps it. It isn't outrageous but it does have a shake to it in the lower rpm range.

Funnu you should say that!
I was at Cycle Works this morning (work related).
Last time I was there, they had Ipone.
Today, I ask for some. The parts girl said we sold the last one. We are not getting anymore. I kind of laughed. stating was it a fad? She said more Hype than anything.
So back to the same thing I used last time. It works.

As for this Beaver thread. I would be willing to cut the ribbon starting the build, in Sept.

Yes there are Jack, Regular Floats.

Amphibious floats have retractable wheels in them so they can land on water or solid runways.

Alligators and Crocs are Amphibious, fish aren't! LOL!

A pilot would be having a really bad day if ye landed a Float Plane on pavement whereas the pilot that landed an Amphibious Float Plane on the same runway would be having a great day, as long as he remembered his checklist and put the gear down on downwind! LOL!
