Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West
Lmao. I don't have the skill or the onions to do something like that. But it would make you king in my books if you did.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West
4 or 5 years ago (when I lived in Montreal), Ron Sebag, Sebastien Lajoie and myself went down to the Vermont Huckfest for a couple days and got to meet a bunch of the boys of FG including Bunky F. Knuckle and SleepyC and many others. They had a huge pond and this was my first attempt with my 40% Carden Ultralight Ferrari Edge / DA100L.
I was a big shaky mess during the flight but got a tail dip, LOL

How do you manage to walk around with onions like that. I couldn't help but notice the faith and trust you had in that DA engine at that point in your life. To bad you got mixed up with the wrong crowd.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West
LOL!!! I loved my DA100L. Awesome engine. But the hobby continues to advance and we must also, LOL!! I have the same faith in all my engines - they wouldn't be in the hangar if I couldn't count on them 110%
Notice how calm it was in Vermont! Now go back and check out the waves in Scott's vid and the crosswind beach landing!!.. That raises the bar BIGTIME!!!!! Kudos to Scott and the ginormous onions!! We egged Scott on via email to try it and were shocked when he sent us that video!!! |
