LOL!!!

Hey guys.... Thinking of getting a DA150L and putting it on the Large Smoothpipes in my Carden Extra260 Hamilton Watch. The MVVS190 is a monster and running awesome, but I could get that plane into the high 36lbs with the lightweight twin and I'd be able to tame the power down a bit for better 3D.

I'd also be able to move the batteries to the front (now in the tail) and could have them remove able for charging which makes me feel a bit safer, LOL

Thoughts??

Yep great motor that is basically wasted above 5/8 throttle where it starts to shred practically every prop you've used!

Kinda fun to race around in circles shredding for a couple minutes, but there's not many spots that allow it. The other 97% of the time it seems like too much power or a waste of it.

Would be super nice to lighten that plane up by removing the tail lead and the tail mounted bats forward that are currently offsetting "the brick"

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I bet it would be a much better flying plane. Especially at low speed if you like 3D.

Yep! But I've come to my senses and would not go with a weak DA150. No 1970's technology for this guy. If I go this route, would be GP176evo. The ZDZ180 is a bit to much power what I'm trying to accomplish unless I went canisters.
