Sweet. Glad to see it's staying in the plane!

Some of us have said, for quite some time.....if you have the power.....use a 3-blade! So perhaps only "New Hype" to the EM

I'd bet the GP 123 would be fantastic with the right prop!!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I tried a 26x12 3B on the GP123 and rev's were high and thrust was decent, but I didn't have near the control for the slow stuff... Not sure if it was less air over the surfaces. But it just didn't feel right for 3D.

So I was expecting the same with the MVVS190 and the 3B but control was all there and the little bit less thrust and added slippage was perfect. Weird.

Agreed, so expensive and time consuming with perhaps not the results one is looking for.

However, the combination you've found in that flight is incredible!! Congrats, and I'm so relieved you didn't pull it for a DW!!!

I think the pond that's mentioned is what pops out of the backside of the fish. Don't want to sink a plane in that

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Lol dam iPhone auto correct lol. Well I had 6.5 flights on the new bird lol. Dead stick in a hover. Just need to replace the aluminum angle iron on the gear other wise I'm pretty happy lol. Motor was to rich lesson learnt lol. Already got more angle stock and will good to go soon. The cowel got dinged but I don't care as I was going to order a new one anyway for when I put the pipes in so I didn't have the huge holes from the stock exhaust

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

A question for the engine guys. i have a zdz80rvj with a pitts muffler. Way too loud and I think the pitts is holding it back. What would you recomend. I have some 1090 pipes here. Would one of them be appropriate. Thanks.

Phil I believe the 1090 is made for 125cc. I believe the 1080 would fit your application.

But the DA 85 crowd uses the 1090, so it might work OK on the ZDZ 80. I guess nothing to lose but the price of a header!!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

well Dale always beats me in the inverted contest. I dont know if you would call this winning but I got lower lol.

It actually ripped the vertical stab cleanly out so a very easy fix, new prop and canopy then good to go again. The cowel pushed in but popped back out with no signs of cracks or chips.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Dan... you should consider a CompARF as a replacement. Or perhaps try Dale's new Compy Suhk/ZDZ180

Glad you guys had a good time though. Excited to see the videos of tail dipping in the poop-pond, LOL.
