Indeed Mr. Brum.
I have already consulted with Jack on the 180's consumption. Sized my drinks accordingly.
I used 2 X 1Litre in the Big Edge. One from our trip to the Klondike this past spring. A nice souvenir, when flying. As I do think of our great time spent.

Correction:

After re-reading your post. No these are Series tanks to produce a fuel cell.
Often referred to as "Hunter Hype Tanks". (well in Beaver Lodge).

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Need input from you lightweight guru's.

Have a DA 70 waiting for an airframe.

Lorne threw a bug in my ear saying the 3DHS 103" Extra 330SC could be put together extremely light. With the numbers Brad is getting with his 70 on Bender tuned pipes I think a person could graduate to a 26" prop.

I built 2 ACE 33% Extra 230's back in the day. Both weighed 25lbs and flew well on a G62. Not 3D style of course.

Just curious if you gents think the 70 is enough engine for decent flying if the weight came in at 23-24 lbs?

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

LOL!!! I like the jeti-fishing back this way!! Hilarious.

Dale... once that 180 on pipes is broken in and tuned, 1L will last 12min with lots of spare. 1.5L is just carrying around an extra pound for the fun of it. So all you need to drink is a pair of 500mL Brisk's for the Hunter-Hype-Tanks

LOL!!! Jack - you and Mr Egan need to talk - he's already got one of those on the table for the DA70 on pipes.

We've seen the 60cc singles pull 21-22lbs with ease. 23lbs will be a breeze for the piped DA70. But with some care, you should be able to get in the 22lbs.... I think Andy said his 3DHS 103" 330 with ZDZ90 came in around 24lbs.

Should be awesome.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Don't do it.
The da85 and zdz 90 fine they swing 28 inch props.
If you want slow scale stuff. Build a cub / mustang. The 3dhs luvs power the more the better. I say keep to 90" airframe they are a fantastic match for the 70
