I was playing in the basement today and caught a battery on fire. Wrong charge on a Nimh. Fastest trip up the stairs with a 50cc plane. Fastest time I pulled a prop and cowl off.my father thought it was funny. True story. Dumb move.

Oh buddy. My dumb move would be using one of those multi leads on the charger. Just finish charging a lipo, don't unplug it, then plug a nihm. Oops!!!! And I have done that more than once lol

Glad you got the plane and smouldering battery outside and out of the plane. Its amazing how much energy is stored in those things when it all comes out in a few seconds! I now keep a metal coffee tin in my shop just in case that happens.
